What to Expect:
Tesla is advancing humanoid robots for large-scale automation of repetitive tasks. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic engineer to join the Optimus Actuators team, with a focus on powertrain modeling design to drive innovative robotics solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for developing advanced MATLAB functions to model humanoid powertrain performance, contributing to a multi-physics modeling codebase.
- Develop new and enhance existing actuator system optimization functions based on multiple criteria.
- Process Big Data, extract useful system-level information to aid powertrain design, and visualize the results.
What You’ll Bring:
- Studies in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong mathematical and physics background
- Strong MATLAB programming skills
- Fluency in English
The following will be considered as plus:
- Understanding of optimization fundamentals
- Electrical machines, power electronics and control fundamentals
- Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Very good understanding of electromagnetics and electric circuits
- Understanding of electrical, thermal and mechanical modeling
- Physics/model representations of kinematic chains
