Citi is looking for Full-Time Analysts to join the Investment Banking team in Frankfurt in 2026. The Investment Banking Team provides strategic advise to corporate and financial sponsor clients in Germany on private and public M&A and capital markets transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting; and distributing equity; debt; and derivative securities.

As an Investment Banking Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers in both origination and execution of projects across the entire Citi product offering. Key responsibilities will include preparation of valuation materials, financial models, and board level client materials. You will work with Citi team members across functions and disciplines to deliver the best outcome for your clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) professionals, participate and support client transactions, projects or assignments
  • Responsible for organizing and analysing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic recommendations
  • Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals
  • Conduct economic/financial research
  • Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends
  • Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
  • Preparation of presentation materials, including management presentations, board materials and other key documents
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualification:
  • You have a 5.0/6.0 GPA (Swiss scale 1-6), 1.6 or higher (German scale 1-5), 2:1 or equivalent
  • You are in your final year of university or have graduated in a Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline
  • You have an interest in business and previous relevant Investment Banking or Transaction Advisory working experience
  • You are fluent in English
  • Commitment to personal growth and career development; a strong desire to learn and succeed in team environments
  • Intellectual curiosity and proactive approach to searching for new and creative ideas
  • Strong communication; planning; and organizational skills
  • Desire to develop a deep understanding of the financial industry.
